"Freedom Fighters"

What does your freedom mean to you? I think most of us take it for granted due to the fact that for the average American, it has never been threatened. They watched 9/11 on TV and thought how horrible. Then they went about their daily lives and soon forgot about it. Life goes on they say. So you have never had to live in fear of dying a horrible death every day of your life. "That would never happen to me." This is a statement many people make because they truly believe that. They believe that we are the greatest nation in the world and it will always be that way. They believe that they can continue to be the arrogant people they are and never suffer the consequences. I have suffered the consequences of that arrogant attitude. I have bared the burden of hatred felt towards the American way of life, and the view others have of our country. I made the choice to serve my country because I love it. I knew the risk and possible sacrifice involved and did it freely without reservation. So if it angers you that people like Cindy Sheehan piss me off, tough. Labeling terrorists as "Freedom Fighters"? What the hell am I, chopped liver? We stand along side the Iraqi people every day trying to build a free Iraq that will ultimately create a safer more stable world, and those that are trying to stop the creation of freedom are labeled "Freedom Fighters". Well she's right. They are fighting against freedom, so therefore, they are Freedom fighters. What the hell is she trying to do anyway? Stop the war? It will never stop simply by bringing the troops home. Evil will chase after them and soon we will be fighting the war here on our soil. Which would you rather have Cindy? Would you prefer that while you were out there with your bull horn shouting about how horrible our president is someone was able to walk up to you and blow you and your followers all up along with himself? Or maybe just take a snipers bullet in the head? Or better yet, a nice big juicy car bomb to turn everyone into hamburger. How does that sound? No Cindy, you don't have to worry about that do you? Why do you suppose that is? Because of people like your son who VOLUNTEERED to go protect our way of life. Lets see if I can break it down for you. There are people who hate us because of how we live. They don't like our way of life. They want us ALL to die. They will not stop until that happens, or we make that impossible. Would you rather we do it in their back yard or yours? Because if we don't take the fight to them, they are going to bring it to us. This is happening like it or not. So go ahead and give it all you got to bring them home, and the evil will follow on their coat tails and fight us all here. Keep our noses to ourselves and stay out of other country's business you say? It's not our problem or our fight? Ah but it is. They focus on us to the point that they are willing to blow themselves up to kill us. What kind of determination do you think it must take to do that? The kind that is unstoppable. Are you willing to blow yourself up for your belief? If you were, do you think anyone could stop you? This is the power we are up against. All you are doing is feeding their ego and helping them accomplish their goal. When they see poor Cindy on TV hating her nations leader because her son died, they feel empowered. They want to go out and kill more of us. They feel that they are accomplishing their goal of tearing our nation apart. It makes them feel excited. They want to run out and kill more Americans so more parents and loved ones will rush out and protest the war so our country will fall apart and they can come over here and kill more "infidels". How many people were killed by someone who was motivated by your BS on Fox and CNN? Maybe the guy who tried to kill me was empowered by watching you on TV and felt he was winning? Thanks Cindy, I'm sure that your son's friends are real thankful for the increase in bombs and bullets! So what is it going to take to get this through everyone's thick skulls? I think that until we are faced with it on our own soil, when we have to grab the shotgun to go shopping, it isn't going to change. The reason is that most people just don't get it. They haven't had to pick up what was left of a guy who was so determined that he blew himself up. They just can't fathom the possibility. But I assure you it is happening every day. I am afraid that before too long, it will be life as usual here in America, and because I'm only one man, I can't do a damn thing about it. Sometimes I just wanna slap people and say what the hell is wrong with you, can't you see what you are doing!
Any bets on how many I could slap before I get hauled off to jail?

Bill O'reilly

So last night I was watching David Letterman's show and he had Bill O'reilly on it. When he was introducing the guests on his show, I could see that Dave didn't really like Bill, or it appeared that way to me. Shortly after Bill came on and they began to speak, I could see why. Poor Dave can't seem to stand the confrontational nature of Bill. Mr. O'reilly seemed to bring up confrontational subjects like using the words Christmas instead of Happy Holidays, and criticizing those who would call terrorists "freedom fighters". My thought - It's about damn time! I'm sick and tired of people catering to the minority in this country who wish to erode America of it's traditions. Mrs. Sheehan only spits on her son's grave when she calls terrorists "freedom fighters" and this is coming from someone who was blown up and lived! She is so wrapped up in her own agenda and emotion that she fails to think of her son and HIS choice to serve his country. Chasing after Bush and his administration, and trying to end the war on terror serves only to weaken our country and ensure that those who died for us died in vain. All the protesting will not bring him back, and only serves to drag his service through the mud. We have heard your opinion enough, now keep it to yourself! Was it a mistake to invade Iraq? Not really. If you think of it in terms of Weapons of mass destruction, yes. Our intelligence was wrong. But as I've said before, it was not the only reason to go there. It serves our nation favorably to have a democracy there that favors the west. It will add stability to the region, and weaken the terrorists ability to build power and work their way to our front door again. It appears that many in our country have already forgotten 9/11 and focus only on the here and now. We fight against an idea, not an Army. This is a huge battle between good and evil. Combine this with the ever increasing lack of Christ in our daily lives as we seek to remove God from the public entirely, and it only appears that we are feeding the Devil and his desire to destroy us. What disgusts me is that people are doing it with vigor in spite of the fact that the majority of this country disagrees with the idea. But the majority is doing nothing to coordinate and put a stop to it. The more I look at it, the more I see that this country is becoming more and more less "free" than the nations I have fought to make free. When a kid in Iraq can talk about God in school freely, but my child would get suspended for praying in school, I am offended. You call this freedom? The statement "separation of church and state" doesn't even exist in any of our founding fathers writing. They stated that government should not create any rules or laws regarding religion. Freedom of religion means that I should be able to pray wherever and whenever I choose. God could not possibly bless those who turn against him. Do you want to have a life of terror like 9/11 every day? Is that how we want to live? Continue on our current path, and I'm afraid that is exactly what we will get. Fortunately for me, I can thrive in such an environment, can you? I know what to do to protect my family and survive, do you? If we don't do something soon, we will suffer the consequences. I foresee us suffering the same fate as the Romans, only faster and harder. The more I think about it, the more excited I get because my own country is beginning to make me sick!
