Bill O'reilly

So last night I was watching David Letterman's show and he had Bill O'reilly on it. When he was introducing the guests on his show, I could see that Dave didn't really like Bill, or it appeared that way to me. Shortly after Bill came on and they began to speak, I could see why. Poor Dave can't seem to stand the confrontational nature of Bill. Mr. O'reilly seemed to bring up confrontational subjects like using the words Christmas instead of Happy Holidays, and criticizing those who would call terrorists "freedom fighters". My thought - It's about damn time! I'm sick and tired of people catering to the minority in this country who wish to erode America of it's traditions. Mrs. Sheehan only spits on her son's grave when she calls terrorists "freedom fighters" and this is coming from someone who was blown up and lived! She is so wrapped up in her own agenda and emotion that she fails to think of her son and HIS choice to serve his country. Chasing after Bush and his administration, and trying to end the war on terror serves only to weaken our country and ensure that those who died for us died in vain. All the protesting will not bring him back, and only serves to drag his service through the mud. We have heard your opinion enough, now keep it to yourself! Was it a mistake to invade Iraq? Not really. If you think of it in terms of Weapons of mass destruction, yes. Our intelligence was wrong. But as I've said before, it was not the only reason to go there. It serves our nation favorably to have a democracy there that favors the west. It will add stability to the region, and weaken the terrorists ability to build power and work their way to our front door again. It appears that many in our country have already forgotten 9/11 and focus only on the here and now. We fight against an idea, not an Army. This is a huge battle between good and evil. Combine this with the ever increasing lack of Christ in our daily lives as we seek to remove God from the public entirely, and it only appears that we are feeding the Devil and his desire to destroy us. What disgusts me is that people are doing it with vigor in spite of the fact that the majority of this country disagrees with the idea. But the majority is doing nothing to coordinate and put a stop to it. The more I look at it, the more I see that this country is becoming more and more less "free" than the nations I have fought to make free. When a kid in Iraq can talk about God in school freely, but my child would get suspended for praying in school, I am offended. You call this freedom? The statement "separation of church and state" doesn't even exist in any of our founding fathers writing. They stated that government should not create any rules or laws regarding religion. Freedom of religion means that I should be able to pray wherever and whenever I choose. God could not possibly bless those who turn against him. Do you want to have a life of terror like 9/11 every day? Is that how we want to live? Continue on our current path, and I'm afraid that is exactly what we will get. Fortunately for me, I can thrive in such an environment, can you? I know what to do to protect my family and survive, do you? If we don't do something soon, we will suffer the consequences. I foresee us suffering the same fate as the Romans, only faster and harder. The more I think about it, the more excited I get because my own country is beginning to make me sick!

Welcome to the dark side my friend. It's a scary place.

Which reminds me, I really need to get out there with you and learn some basic survival techniques. You know I'm of like mind...but I admit that I currently cannot provide for or protect my family. I'm so scatterbrained though...just keep reminding me ;-)
